3 Days Queen Elizabeth National Park safari tour.
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Queen National Park.
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park which is one of the outstanding treasures of Uganda and was named after Queen Elizabeth II visit in 1954.On the way, you will have a stopover at the equator (a point which divides the earth into the Northern and southern hemisphere), lunch in Mbarara and there after, proceed with the journey to the park. Dinner and overnight at a new safari accommodation on the border of the national park with amazing views on Lake George and the crater lakes and also an ideal gateway for exciting game viewing and excellent birding.(Simba Safari camp).
Day 2: Game drive and Boat cruise:
Still in the mood of the previous day, catch up the early risers with a morning game drives which will start at 6:30 when the predators are returning to their hideout. You may see elephants, lions, spotted hyenas, leopards and hippos grazing, Waterbucks, Warthogs, Buffaloes and also watch out for Baboons and monkeys. Later, return to the lodge for breakfast, and lunch.
There after, go for the exciting 2hour Launch cruise along the Kazinga channel. Expect to see bird species such as the rare shoe bill, Egyptian geese, the yellow billed stork, white pelicans; Hippos and Crocodiles swimming while others bask in the sun. Return for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Return to Kampala with optional Chimpanzee tracking.
Past breakfast, take an immediate transfer to Kampala with an optional chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura gorge or go for nature walk in Maramagambo forest where the bat caves are found .However, on your way, make a stopover at Mpambire drum village, a local theatre of Art and Crafts and get a chance to buy a locally made drum. Proceed to Kampala and that will mark the end of your tour.
