7 Days the Best of Rwanda Safari tours
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to your Hotel for an overnight stay.
Past arrival at Kanombe International Airport, you will meet our company guide who will transfer you to your Hotel for dinner and overnight. Overnight at Akagera Game Lodge (FB).
Day 2: Game viewing Safari tour (Akagera Park)
Before breakfast, leave for an early morning game drive and have a chance to see animals like Butchell’s Zebra, lions, elephants, topi etc and over 425 species of birds including the shoe billed stock, African jacana, sacred ibis goliath heron mention but a few. Return to the lodge for breakfast and relax up while waiting for the afternoon transfer to Kigali. Past lunch, drive to Kigali and arrive in time for dinner overnight at Golf Hills Residence/Chezlando Hotel
Day 3: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest
Drive to Nyungwe National park after with a lunch Enroute or get to your place of accommodation in time for lunch. Check in at Nyungwe Forest Lodge and then go for an afternoon primate walk in the forest and get a chance to see the colubus monkeys, other primates and birds including the Ruwenzori turaco. Dinner and overnight at Nyungwe Forest Lodge.
Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking safari tour and transfer to Ruhengeri.
Following breakfast at around 5:30 am, you will enter Nyungwe forest and search for Chimpanzees and other primates an activity which will bring you close Man’s close relatives. See how they feed and play with each other and then return to the lodge for late breakfast and lunch. After drive to Ruhengeri. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge or Gorilla nest/Kinigi guest house (FB)
Day 5: Gorilla Tracking Safari tours (Volcanoes NP) & Lake Kivu
Wake up early morning and drive to Ruhengeri for an encounter with the gorillas. En route you will be able to see the pyrethrum plantations and on arrival at Ruhengeri, the guide will pick you up and proceed to Parc national de Volcans the home to the rare mountain gorillas. You will take a hike up to the bamboo forest to spend a magical hour in the company of the gorillas and then return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch drive to Lake Kivu. Dinner and Overnight at Lake Kivu Serena or Kivu Sun
Day 6: Lake Kivu and Butare
At Lake Kivu a boat cruise to the coffee growing island is interesting. Dinner and Overnight at Lake Kivu Serena or Kivu Sun. Return to Kigali, Dinner and overnight at Golf Hills Residence
Day 7: Kigali City tour
after breakfast, have a city tour to most interesting places in Kigali. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport and catch up with your flight back home.
